From where the rivers start, the search begins
\nAfter all, farewells are always the collapsing of comfort
\nAnd only the supplications of those who remain
\nIn the ears of those who take on this challenge
\nNeither one nor the other knows
\nThat this sailing is already a prediction of death
\nSince the heat of that goodbye is extinguished
\nAnd the hands that promised to stay together are loosened
\nFate begins to rewrite itself
\nBecause, no matter what, the future is never suspended
\nThis temporal hiatus between departure and return
\nWill be filled by whatever reality chooses
\nBut let go the adventurers who settle on the horizon
\nRetaining them will never be a viable option for their growth
\nThere are learnings that are not taught but lived
\nFor it only comes to understand the dark side of the fire’s heat
\nThe unwary who dare to let themselves be burned
\nSuch departure is always initiated with the ambition of returning
\nAfter all, we all have our Ithaca
\nBut that return is always an odyssey full of challenges
\nThere are so many mermaids capable of enchanting and bewildering them
\nThere are treacherous places where germinates the will to put down roots
\nBut in none of these sojourns will they experience a feeling of completeness
\nAdventurers will lose parts of who they were wherever they go
\nAnd graft onto themselves so much of what they fortuitously find
\nNever knowing if from these grafts will blossom flowers or pain
\nThis is, after all, the drama of the citizen who wanders around
\nIt has at his fingertips everything the world promises,
\nIf it accepts to let his home slip through his fingers
\nAnd those that at the end return home are no longer the ones that left
\nIt died who they were yesterday but, with luck,
\nWill survive the will to continuously reinvent who they are
\nAnd to resurrect, every day, a wiser version of themselves
